Meissen - The First Town in Europe to Start Producing Porcelain in the 18th Century....


I've always been curious about how the West started making their own porcelain as far back as the 18th century. According to the article (in link below),


'Until two Germans reverse engineered porcelain in the town of Meissen in the 18th century, literally tonnes of porcelain was being shipped from Chinese kilns to satisfy Western demand for this “white gold”.'
